What sectors do your PMs come from?

Can your PMs run agile, waterfall, or both?
Both. Most of our PMs are comfortable with Scrum and Kanban; many have run waterfall and PRINCE2-style governance for enterprise clients. If you need a specific certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master) tell us up front.
Will my PM cover ceremonies live?
Yes — daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retros, refinement. South African working hours overlap fully with UK office hours, so live ceremonies are not an issue.
Do your PMs work for agencies as well as in-house teams?
Yes. Karmak Creative, a digital agency, has hired software engineers and a project manager through VAConnect since 2022. Agencies typically use a Half-Day or Full-Day PM to manage client deliveries, freeing the agency owner from delivery oversight.
Can my PM also manage developers I’ve hired through you?
Yes — and many do. A PM (£968–£2,888/month) layered on top of one or two developers gives you a delivery pod without the cost of a UK-based engineering manager.
How is this different from a “VA” doing project admin?
A Project Manager owns delivery — they make the call when scope creeps, surface the risk before it bites, and chase the vendor without waiting for permission. A VA doing admin will keep the to-do list tidy. Pick the PM tier when delivery is slipping; pick an EVA when the calendar is.
Can I trial a PM on a single project?
Yes. The 40-hour tier (£968/month) is a sensible trial size — enough hours for a defined initiative, low commitment if it doesn’t fit. We can also align hours to a specific delivery window.
