[q]Can a South African VA call UK prospects directly?[/q]
[a]Yes — and they do, every day. South African accents are described by our UK clients as neutral and clear. We pair the placement with a UK VoIP number (via Aircall, RingCentral or Twilio) so the call shows as a UK number to the prospect. Most prospects don’t realise the VA isn’t UK-based until invited to.[/a]

[q]How is this different from a UK BDR or SDR?[/q]
[a]A UK SDR will cost you £30K–£50K base plus commission, NI, pension, holiday, sick pay, equipment, software and management overhead — typically £55K–£75K all-in. [a]Yes. The first 2 weeks are product immersion, script ingestion, and shadowed calls before they go live. By week 3 they’re handling discovery and qualification independently. We also build a “Sales Journey Library” — your scripts, objection responses, and FAQ playbook that lives with the engagement and gets handed to you if the placement ever ends.[/a]

[q]Are calling costs included?[/q]
[a]No — calling costs (your VoIP or dialler) are billed separately by your provider. UK outbound through Aircall, RingCentral or Twilio is typically a few pence per minute. We’ll spec the cheapest stack for your call volume during onboarding.[/a]

[q]How many calls per day will my VA make?[/q]
[a]Realistic numbers — 60–100 dials per day for cold outbound, 30–50 dials for warmer follow-up, 80–120 for ultra-light qualification calls. We don’t promise dialler-style 200/day numbers because that’s not how good selling works. Quality of conversation matters more than quantity of dials.[/a]

[q]Can my Sales VA also handle inbound?[/q]
[a]Yes. Many of our Sales VAs split between outbound prospecting and inbound qualification on the same day. If your inbound volume is high we’d typically recommend a dedicated Customer Service VA for inbound and keep the Sales VA focused on outbound.[/a]

[q]Will my VA use my CRM?[/q]
[a]Whatever CRM you run — they’ll work in it. HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, GoHighLevel, Close, Apollo, Salesloft, Outreach are all common. If your CRM hygiene is currently poor, the first 2 weeks of the engagement are usually a clean-up before going live on outbound.[/a]

[q]Can I record calls for QA?[/q]
[a]Yes — and we encourage it. Most of our clients record via their dialler (Aircall, RingCentral, Twilio) and we use the recordings for weekly coaching with the VA. Recordings are subject to UK data retention rules; we’ll help you set retention windows that meet GDPR.[/a]

[q]Can the VA do appointment setting onto my calendar?[/q]
[a]Yes. Most use Calendly, HubSpot Meetings or GoHighLevel calendars to drop appointments straight into your AE’s diary. Our standard practice is double-confirmation (initial booking + 24h reminder) which has measurably reduced no-shows for our clients.[/a]
